origami vormen
While I was experimenting with exposing lightsensitive paper in sunlight and chemistry there was a little square piece of paper left over, curious if it would be possible I folded this piece of paper into a little origami crane bird. Making origami shapes is something I did quite often as a child and the crane bird is one of the forms that has been embedded into my muscle memory. The discovery of the fact that lightsensitive photographic paper allows itself to be folded into these three dimensional shapes created a brainstorm of inspiration. I've exposed different origami shapes in sunlight to research how the folds influence light reaching the paper and the colours and patterns it creates. Next I combined this technique with contact prints of objects and chemical experiments.
